Proposed New Play Area in Berinsfield
Overview
South Oxfordshire District Council has secured funding to create a new sensory play area in Berinsfield.
After hearing from parents with children with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) that the current play areas in Berinsfield can feel too busy and noisy, we want to gather further views from parents, guardians, and local residents. Your ideas will help us understand what types of sensory equipment would best support children’s needs and which location in the village would be most suitable for the new play area.
The council is working closely with Berinsfield Parish Council to consider two possible locations for one new play area: Green Furlong and Fane Drive. You can find out more about the locations within the survey.
We want to hear your views on the different locations and which play equipment would be most suitable. We are asking for your feedback from Monday 1 June until 11.59pm on Monday 22 June 2026.
What happens once the survey has closed?
Once the survey has closed, we will review and consider all the feedback. A summary report of the results will be produced and used to finalise the play area.
